This 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS sport coupe was sold new at Community Chevrolet in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is said to have remained in the area since. The current owner purchased the car in 2010, and it subsequently underwent a multi-year refurbishment that was completed in 2020. Work during that time included refinishing the frame and body in black, installing a replacement 327ci V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission, and reupholstering the interior in black vinyl. Additional features include 17″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, power-assisted Baer disc brakes, power steering, a Positraction limited-slip rear differential, front bucket seats, an AM radio, and air conditioning.
The car left the factory finished in Madeira Maroon (N). The body is said to have been removed from the frame during the build, and both were refinished in black. Equipment includes bright trim, quad headlights, a driver-side mirror, Impala SS and Super Sport badging, and chrome-finished bumpers.
Chrome-plated 17″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with 245/45 Toyo Proxes 4 Plus tires showing date codes from 2012. Red-finished Baer brake calipers over slotted and cross-drilled rotors have been fitted at each corner along with braided steel hoses, and the car is equipped with power steering.
The refreshed cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in black, along with a color-coordinated padded upper dash, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a floor-mounted shifter, an analog clock, a Delco AM radio, and air conditioning.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer a tachometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 2k miles, which is the total distance traveled since the build was completed. Total mileage is unknown.
The car is powered by a replacement 327ci Turbo-Fire V8 that was built by Jasper Engines & Transmissions and was installed in May 2014.
